BISHOP RENZIL BARRINGER

(1943-2023)

Renzil Barringer was the founder and pastor of Bibleway Outreach Fellowship. He began his walk with Christ at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor W.E. Clark. He served as a deacon until God called him to preach, and he was ordained in 1970. In 1972, he co-founded Bibleway House of Prayer in Memphis, TN with the late Apostle Loyce F. Clark. There he served faithfully as an elder and evangelist for 25 years until God called him to pastor. Following the leading of God, Bibleway Outreach Ministry was established on February 1, 1997, in Byhalia, MS. The name was later changed to Bibleway Outreach Fellowship. On August 25, 2007, Pastor Barringer was ordained as bishop by the late Apostle Albert E. Dixon and the board of the Alliance of Apostolic Churches of Christ Jesus (AACCJ).

Bishop Barringer was a humble, yet dynamic anointed speaker often described as a “powerhouse”. A man of unwavering faith and integrity. He fasted, prayed, was a student of the scriptures, and preached the unadulterated Word of God. A true man of God, he remained steadfast to the mission “to reach the lost for the Kingdom of God and to build a people of faith, purpose, power and praise for the perfecting of the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ”.

Bishop Barringer served faithfully as pastor of Bibleway Outreach for 26 years, as a devoted husband to his wife of 56 years, Lady Emma Barringer, and a loving father and grandfather until he finished his course and God called him home on April 30, 2023. His impact, his influence, and his legacy are evident through the continued work of the ministry.
